I grew up Muslim, now I'm finding my own faith
I grew up Muslim in Dhaka, memorizing the short surahs after fajr in my mother's tiny kitchen while she made luchi. Now, as a med student, between night shifts and bus rides home, I find myself re-reading prayers and asking, quietly, what I actually believe for myself. My dua still feels like a reflex more than a conversation. The dilemma is this: do I keep doing everything my family knows so we all stay calm, while I figure things out alone, or do I risk telling them and inviting questions, pressure, maybe hurt? Has anyone else been here, and how did you choose what to do next?
