I keep missing Fajr and it weighs me
I write about shukr, about counting blessings twice, but I am ashamed to admit this small failure I carry every morning. My alarm is set for 4:10, then 4:25, then I tell myself one more snooze while the kettle boils in the neighbour's yard and a rooster starts. I wake with a tight chest, see the prayer mat rolled, a message left on read from a friend who goes to the masjid, and the guilt grows heavy. I have tried sleeping earlier, dua, putting the phone across the room, even asking a neighbour to call. I am torn: should I keep up the all-or-nothing effort and rearrange my life, or accept this is how my body is and stop carrying this daily weight? Has anyone else been here, and what did you choose?
