I keep piling qada after long work trips
I used to wake to my grandmother's quiet du'a at dawn, her voice in the kitchen while she laid out mint tea and a small prayer rug. Now my alarm blares in a hotel room on the third floor of some city I have never seen, or it gets swallowed by a flight crew announcement. Meetings, taxis, time zones. I tell myself I will make them up when I return, and the list grows longer. I feel embarrassed admitting this, like I have failed something I used to feel so close to. Has anyone else been living between airports and missed prayers, and what did that feel like for you?
